In order to becoming a buyer at the fish auction in the Faroe Islands you have to do the following (not necessarily in this order):

    * Have a bank guarantee.
    * Register as a buyer at the Auction
    * Download the auction system
    * Get a telephone number for buyers at the auction

Bank Guarantee

According to the law in the Faroe Islands, the fish auction is not allowed to sell to a fish buyer unless there is full guarantee for the purchase.  This can be done in two ways, 1) a bank guarantee or 2) transfer money to the auction.

Register as a buyer

In order to register as a customer at the fish auction, we have to have all the company details including the name of the person who will be doing the buying.

Download the auction system

You have to download the auction software in order to buy from the auction.  Please look at the menu “Download”

Get a telephone number

When the bank guarantee is in place and the registration is done then you will be allocated a telephone number.

Then you can call the auctioneer and participate in the auction of fresh fish from the Faroe Islands.
